04 Data acquisition and processing

Add new data (digitize)

To add new data, open the menu at the top left and switch from the map icon to the pencil icon at the bottom. Then select the heading of the layer you want to edit (e.g. trees). Close the menu (top left arrow). You will now see a crosshair centered on the map. Move the map to the desired point whose position you want to set. If you are using an active stylus (e.g. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active), you can also use it to position the crosshairs. You can set a point with the white plus at the bottom right. Further points can then be set.

Enter data (enter attributes)

To enter the factual data, tap on the desired point. When using an active pen, first switch from digitizing mode (pen below) to browser mode (map) in the menu. Then tap on the number (ID for new objects, tree number and tree type for existing data). Then tap on the A with the pencil to start edit mode. Now enter all relevant data. Mandatory fields are marked in red and must be filled in. See also /docs/form
Save your entries with the tick in the top left-hand corner.
